Abstraction- The author has often said (at least partly in jest) that this one is about the fine line between madness and copyright. When a doctor recognizes that the hero’s hallucinations are derived from the communal unconscious, others become convinced of their validity and mass perception begins to reshape objective reality.
Parental Guidance is Suggested- Two fourth grade, would-be superheroes are lead on a series of misadventures when they investigate the kidnapping of a commercial icon.
Louis Fight:
a modern tragedy in the tradition of Euripides and Racine
- As the subtitle indicates, “Louis Fight” is an adaptation of Hippolytus and Phaedra. Juxtaposition of this sordid theme in modernity perverts the classical subject into scandal, for the purpose of engaging readers in DC's exploratory fascination with mythic and fantastic elements of increasingly internalized modern life. By applying a modern perspective to an ancient plot the story illuminates uniquely contemporary aspects of both the reader’s and writer’s mentalities.
Stetson- In the fifties Frank Loyd Price recorded a hit version of this blues standard about the night Stagger Lee shot Billy Lyon over a game of dice, based on real events that took place in St. Louis at the turn of the century. Variously called Stag, Stagga, Stag o’, Stack o’, Stacka, or Stacker Lee, this song has been adapted by performers ranging from the Grateful Dead to Nick Cave. The urban/rock&roll atmosphere of this legend provides a comfortable context in which contemporary readers can explore the timeless, reemerging aspects of all such enduring tales that have been venerated with legendary status. Throughout, this story strives to achieve literary innovation that is interwoven as tightly as possible with rigorous realism.
Full Charactered with Lasting Memory- The protagonist of this bibliomaniacal ghost story is an aging author with somewhat exaggerated aesthetic principles, whose misanthropy has at last isolated him from everyone but characters of his own invention. The Dickensian depiction of their visitations makes several allusions to other stories featured on this page.
Galatea- In this fairly straightforward retelling of the Pygmalion myth, the author focuses on the dedicated love of art portrayed in this tale, dispelling the impression, left by My Fair Lady, that it is about molding or 'perfecting' a woman.
Scourge- When earth gets caught in a celestial drift, mankind discovers a pocket of life following the current, and it hasn’t eaten in eons.

People who don’t pay can count on being politely harassed at sporadic intervals; and they are stricken from the x-mas list, which is their loss because the x-mas mix that is sent out every year truly makes the season jollier.
